Study Theology at the tranquil site of Malling Abbey which provides a home to our administrative offices and our main library.
We hold evening classes and teaching days here, enjoying excellent classrooms, areas for refreshment and conversation, and the 14th century Pilgrim chapel for our worship. You can book study rooms for use during the day and all students are welcome throughout the week, whether or not you take your classes at Malling. You are also invited to come for day retreats, quiet times of prayer, or to walk the labyrinth.
The Benedictine sisters community also welcomes us to the guest chapel in order to participate in their regular round of daily worship. The community chapel is a modernist Grade II* building that evokes the simplicity and enduring strength of the Benedictine way of life.
Our Teaching Days for full or part-time students take place at Malling Abbey. If you choose to study part-time and attend evening classes you’ll be able to choose to come to either Malling Abbey or Southwark Cathedral.
We share the Abbey site, not only as guests of the Benedictine community but also with the new St Benedict’s Centre for Spirituality and Christian Education.
