Advent reminds us that there’s a deeper reality at work, even in our moments of worry and uncertainty.
In this week’s 2024 Advent Audio Retreat episode, Guido de Graaff invites us to explore the connection between fear and faith.
“When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
Fear is a natural response that keeps us safe and alert, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can paralyse us, making it difficult to act.
In the second week of Advent, St Augustine’s Christian Doctrine and Ethics tutor, Guido de Graaff, guides us to reflect on how faith strengthens us to face both personal and global challenges with renewed hope and purpose.
You will be encouraged to consider questions like:
- How can we confront our fears while holding onto hope?
- How do our small yet meaningful actions fit into God’s work of leading his beloved creation toward its fulfilment?
We hope you’ll join us on this thoughtful journey as we seek hope and courage together this Advent season.
