On Thursday 7 May, St Augustine’s College of Theology is hosting a free event at St Peter’s Eaton Square in Westminster, London – and it might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
Places are free but limited – so if you’ve been thinking about coming, now is the time to book.
Who is the evening for?
Whether you’re just beginning to consider ministry or you’ve been sitting with a sense of calling for a while and aren’t quite sure what to do next, this evening is for you.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore what God might be asking of you, with people who are asking the same questions.
What to expect on the evening
- Worship together: Enjoy Holy Communion, giving everyone a chance to gather, settle, and approach the evening in a spirit of prayer and openness.
- Meet current students and tutors: Speak directly with students studying at St Augustine’s, as well as our tutors, to give you a real feel for life at the college.
- Talk with others exploring their calling: Get to know people who share your questions.
- Find out about pathways into ordained ministry: St Augustine’s College of Theology offers a number of different study pathways. The evening is a great opportunity to understand what each one involves, how they fit around everyday life, and what the journey towards ordination actually looks like.
- Ask open questions in a relaxed setting: Curious about the academic side of training? Wondering how to balance study with work and family? Want to know what a typical week looks like for an ordinand? There will be people on hand to advise and share their experiences.
- Learn about vocations in the Diocese of London: Our tutors are on hand to talk through how the Diocese of London supports people who are exploring or beginning their vocational journey.
