On Saturday 19th October, St Augustine’s College of Theology held its annual graduation service at St James’s, Bermondsey. The event celebrated the academic awards achieved by those who recently completed their programmes of study and training: independent students as well as Readers, newly ordained deacons, and curates. Bishop Karowei, Honorary Fellow of the College, preached during the service on the College’s motto – ‘What we shall be is yet to be revealed’ (1 John 3:2) – before handing out the certificates to the graduates. Revd Jonathan Croucher, Chair of the College’s Board of Trustees, spoke about the new Tattersall Fund set up to provide bursaries to enable more people to study theology.
