Explore Theology: Taster Drop-In at St Augustine’s College of Theology
Are you curious about studying theology or considering training for ministry? Our Taster Drop-In Events offer the perfect opportunity to experience life at St Augustine’s College of Theology in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
These drop-in sessions allow you to visit our Kent campus at Malling Abbey, explore the facilities, meet tutors and students, and get a feel for what studying theology is really like. You are welcome to arrive at any time between 10:30am and 2:00pm and stay for as long as you like.
No formal schedule—just an open invitation to explore, ask questions, and immerse yourself in the unique learning community at St Augustine’s.
Discover Our Historic Campus
Our West Malling campus, in the heart of rural Kent, is situated within the tranquil and spiritually rich Malling Abbey. Originally founded in 1090 by Gundulf, the Bishop of Rochester, this incredibly atmospheric and historic abbey is also home to a community of Anglican Benedictine nuns.
Malling Abbey is where our administrative staff and main library are based, alongside classrooms where students engage in theological study. Visitors are welcome to explore the contemplative study spaces, providing an ideal setting for reflection and learning. Staff and students join together for worship in the 14th-century Pilgrim Chapel, nestled within the abbey’s leafy and sun-dappled grounds.
