Like many good ideas, I suspect, the ‘lockdown into retreat’ series began as a joke. In the middle of a routine grumble about life, I wondered if I’d feel better about lockdown were I to tell myself I was on a particularly strict retreat, one on which I had to get all my own food. Before I knew what was happening, Becky had turned the grumpiness that is my way of practicing for older life, into an online program. What’s more she found teachers who appear to manage a pretty well grumpy-free existence. How they do it, I have no idea.

From what we’ve heard so far, many found the retreat helpful and encouraging so we’ve created a follow up retreat called ‘Changing Times’. This tries to draw some lessons from our recent experience. Nobody wants the miseries of a pandemic but we do think that it has given us a chance to live and act more wisely in some ways. ‘Changing Times’ helps us not lose all we’ve learned. The four week course begins on Sunday, 14th June, and you can use the same log in details.

In the meantime, if you’d like to make a donation to help us continue to provide online courses and retreats for a post-lockdown world, we should be very grateful. Our PayPal link is here.

Once again, thank you for joining us on our lockdown ‘retreat’.

God bless.
Yours,
Alan.
