Graduate ordinands at St Augustine's College of Theology

We’re on the lookout for new trustees and a new treasurer

Do you want to make a difference in theological education? If so, St Augustine’s College of Theology has a rare opportunity for new trustees and a new treasurer to join our governing body.

Help us shape the future of the college

As a trustee or Treasurer, you’ll help guide a college that welcomes people from all walks of life as they prepare for ministry, service, and theological study. You’ll join a diverse board of trustees that genuinely enjoys its role, each other’s company, and the impact it has on the college and our students.

It’s an exciting time to get involved, as the college is exploring new ways to make theological study accessible to all.

Are you the right person?

Rather than a list of academic credentials, we’re more interested in who you are as a person. We’re seeking people who share our commitment to forming thoughtful and faithful leaders for the Church and beyond.

You’ll join a warm and welcoming group of people full of ideas and enthusiasm. Your background could be in education, ministry, finance, management, or something else; we’re looking for people who want to make a real difference.

What would your role involve?

Trustees ensure that everything the college does serves its purpose and values.

They don’t run the college day to day, but they do ensure it’s managed as it wishes. The Board sets policies, procedures, and overall strategy, then holds the Principal and staff accountable for delivering them.

The Treasurer gives financial oversight and ideas to support good governance and help the college grow and position itself well for the future. You don’t need to be a qualified accountant, but you should be comfortable reviewing financial information and confident offering guidance on financial matters.
