‘Introduction to Biblical Studies’ Taster Term – September 2025

Get a taste of studying theology by enrolling in a single module over one academic term with the Introduction to Biblical Studies Taster Term. Study alongside current students and engage in a rich exploration of Scripture while learning the essential critical tools for interpreting the Bible and understanding modern Biblical criticism.

This three-month course runs from September to November 2025, starting with an online induction session. You can tailor your class schedule by choosing one of the following options:

  • Weekly evening classes (6:30pm – 9:00pm) on Mondays at our central London campus
  • Fortnightly teaching days (10:30am – 4:00pm) on Fridays at our Kent West Malling campus
  • Weekly online evening classes (6:30pm – 9:00pm) on Wednesdays

What Will You Learn in the Biblical Studies Taster Term?

The Biblical Studies Taster Term introduces you to the modern study of Scripture in a spiritually enriching environment. Whether attending classes in-person or online, you’ll explore key issues in Christian life and worship while mastering critical tools for biblical interpretation. No prior theological study is required, making this course accessible to all.

Through this engaging 3-month course, you’ll build foundational theological knowledge, sharpen your skills in theological reflection, and gain a deeper understanding of modern Biblical criticism. By the end, you’ll have developed a faith-based perspective applicable to daily life, helping you decide if further theological study is the right next step for you.
