Biblical Language Courses
When you read the Bible in English, you are viewing a translation from Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek – languages with unique nuances that don’t always carry over perfectly.
By studying Biblical Languages, you will deepen your understanding of the original texts, meanings and intentions in the Bible, and in many cases, whole new worlds of meaning will open up for you as you study.
At St Augustine’s College of Theology, you can study Biblical Hebrew and New Testament Greek as standalone courses or as part of your academic studies.
We offer both beginners’ and intermediate courses, enabling complete beginners to develop a foundation in a biblical language and returning students to deepen their grammatical knowledge, translation skills and engagement with the biblical text.
