Fundraising for St Augustine’s

Help provide financial support to theology students who need it and uplift our wider learning community.

St Augustine’s is deeply grateful for the prayers, donations, and fundraising efforts of our staff, students, alumni and supporters.

From providing financial support to students who may need it, to setting up a public lecture series on contemporary theological issues – we rely on fundraising support to make it happen.

If you are able to support or donate in any of the following ways, we sincerely thank you.

Donate to the Tattersall Bursary Fund

The Tattersall Bursary Fund provides financial support to St Augustine’s students whose personal financial circumstances might prohibit their studying with theology.

As a bursary fund, we rely on the fundraising efforts and incredibly generous donations of St Augustine’s staff, students, alumni and other supporters.

If you’d like to make a donation and support students who may not otherwise be able to engage in theological study, you can do so via bank transfer using the details below:

Join The Friends of St Augustine’s

The Friends of St Augustine’s are a group of college alumni and wider supporters who further the work of the college through ongoing prayer and regular membership donations.

Joining the Friends helps St Augustine’s to continue providing high quality education, ministerial formation, and community outreach.

As a Friend of St Augustine’s, you will be joining our community of learning. Our friends include alumni, current students and those who are supportive of our vision and mission. Together we learn, support others seeking to learn and further celebrate a diversity of Christian tradition.

Benefits of becoming a Friend of St Augustine’s

As a Friend of the college and a member of this special alumni association, you’ll enjoy:

  • full access to our libraries in West Malling and Southwark
  • invitations to attend special alumni gatherings
  • early invitation to public events
  • regular email updates on the latest news at the college.
  • a copy of ‘Formation’ once a year, a printed college newsletter

Money raised through the Friend’s is spent across the work of the college:

The Tattersall Fund – offers bursaries and other financial assistance to students facing need.

Student support – some students need additional support with study skills and specific learning needs e.g. testing for dyslexia

Retreats and residentials – we understand the importance of bringing our students together for residentials and retreats, both at West Malling and further afield.

Ecumenical activity – whilst we are an Anglican training college, we value learning from brothers and sisters across the Church through ecumenical activity, fostering a culture of acceptance and understanding.

How to join the Friends

To become a Friend of the College, there is a suggested donation of £15 per month or £120 per year. Whilst we suggest a monthly amount, there is no fixed membership fee and we encourage you to donate according to your own financial resources. We are grateful for any and all contributions.
