Stay at home while you study
One of the biggest advantages of training at a non-residential theology college like St Augustine’s is that you can stay at home.
You’ll attend regular teaching days and occasional residential weekends, then return to your family, job, church and community. For many students, keeping a sense of routine makes a non-residential college especially appealing.
Theology study that fits around your life
Our students juggle many responsibilities, including family, full-time or part-time work, community leadership, and more. That’s why ordination training at St Augustine’s offers the flexibility you need.
Whether you’re a mature student switching careers or just starting theology study, a non-residential college can work perfectly alongside your life commitments.

Choose where you study: Southwark, West Malling or both
We offer teaching at two campuses: Southwark in central London and West Malling in Kent.
Our Southwark campus is perfect if you live in or near central London or the South East of England. It’s a bustling campus, just off Borough High Street. Getting there is easy – it’s between London Bridge and Borough Market tube stations, with major bus routes stopping right by the college.
If you’re based in Kent or the South East, our West Malling campus offers a peaceful, leafy setting within the grounds of Malling Abbey. It’s easily accessible by public transport, with West Malling station just a short walk away and fast train connections to London Victoria and Maidstone East. Bus routes also link nearby towns including Rochester, Chatham, Tunbridge Wells, and Maidstone.
Having two campuses means you can choose the location that suits you best while joining a diverse and supportive learning community.
