Praying the Parables… week three is now available

The Parables of Jesus reveal how we are always walking on holy ground, where the living word of God is being sown within our lives.  Rather than define truth in a statement, parables invite us to explore what is true with open mind and heard, and then respond.  Praying with Parables will explore 4 parables, both within their original context and how they might speak to us now. Making theology study accessible – how you can help We’re always delighted when we hear from our students and alumni how much the supportive, family atmosphere at St Augustine’s support helped them through their studies – whether with study skills assistance, help with learning differences, or simply through the generosity of guidance and flexibility which allowed them to combine their study and other life commitments. The annual College Celebration takes place online this Saturday 17th October. We look back over the past year, share news of what is new, and celebrate with those students who completed a programme last summer. This year our guest speaker is Paula Gooder, Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral, and the focus will be the launch of our ‘Theology for Disciples’ programme.   Facebook here.  

Online Retreat Programme – October 2020-July 2021

We were delighted that so many of you appreciated our trilogy of online retreats, each responding in a slightly different way to the anxieties, griefs, and bewilderments of the global pandemic. On the 18th of October, we launch the first of a year’s worth of new online retreats that take up a number of important themes in Christian life and prayer. As you’ll see from the attached flier, each retreat consists of four weekly sessions. The exception is, of course, the one offered for Lent, which lasts five weeks.
