Nicola is running the London Marathon for the Tattersall Fund!!!

Sep 20 Posted by Rebecca Young. Under Fundraising,

Appointment of Tutor in Lay Education, Practical Theology, and Old Testament Studies

Sep 10 Posted by Rebecca Young. Under From the Principal,

My particular joy today is to announce the appointment of the Rev. Dr Jenny Corcoran as St Augustine’s Tutor in Lay Education, Practical Theology, and Old Testament Studies. Currently, Jenny serves as chaplain to the Rt Revd Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Bishop of Dover,  and she will take up her post here on November 1st. The remarkable range of expertise that Jenny brings to St Augustine’s is evident in our having to create for her the longest tutorial title in the history of the college. In addition to steering our fast-expanding lay education program (‘Theology for Disciples’),…

Biblical Lanuages for Fun …. new zoom course

Sep 3 Posted by Rebecca Young. Under Online course,

This online course gives you a taster of what it would be like to learn a Biblical Language. Biblical Languages for Fun is a year-long set of weekly online sessions that provide a simple introduction to the key features of Hebrew and New Testament Greek. It opens up some of the issues that translators are faced with, to provide deeper insight into English Bible versions. It will offer a richer understanding of key biblical terms that are rooted in a cultural context. And it will offer a taster of the more demanding task of learning…
